2025 PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier
Naden Nihipali is a 2027 SS/RHP/C with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Aiea, HI who attends Christian Academy. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, has a nice swing with simple components and the ability to repeat, has some young bat speed with more to come, consistent mid field line drive contact, projectable hitting tools. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has a good first step and moves well laterally, clean glove work on his back hand, can bend more with his knees rather than at his waist, throws very well from a lower slot with carry and accuracy. Also worked out behind the plate with young fundamentals and actions. Took a turn on the mound, side step delivery, has a short and quick arm action, lands slightly closed out front and comes across his body into release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with nice arm side life. Landed a mid-60's curveball well for strikes. Good student.
