Opland Sonnichsen is a 2027 C/RHP/IFwith a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Lincoln. Medium young build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.44 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, high set up behind the plate, off line footwork, developing overall catch and throw mechanics with average arm strength fro the age. Showed fundamental footwork and glove actions in the infield, the ability to make the routine play with average arm strength. Hit from a medium base a blend of developing strength and bat speed in the swing. Slight uphill bat path to the baseball, developing sync to backside rotation and some ability to use the whole field. Very good student.
