Drew Wade is a 2027 3B/RHP/IF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Gordonsville, VA who attends Fork Union Military Academy. Medium young athletic build with some present strength for his age. 7.98 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder on defense, came to the ball well and had good balance while fielding, showed the ability to change his arm slot and make plays on the run, projects well defensively. Left handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a lift and replace front foot load, tends to collapse into his swing and lose his lower half, short arm driven swing with a pull side approach and dominant top hand. Also pitched and graded out higher at this event on the mound. Gets his hips turned well in his delivery and has good drive to the plate, full arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot and pronounced pronation out front. Fastball worked in the mid-70's with some running life at times, also threw a mid-60's slurve type breaking ball with some two-plane shape to it. Good young athlete who should continue to improve in all areas. Good student. Named to the 13U/14u Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
