David Thauberger is a 2029 C/RHP, 1B, OF with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Features a medium, athletic frame with plenty of room to add. On the mound he has a crossfire delivery. Works downhill throwing out of a three-quarter slot with long arm action. Fastball has some sink coupled with a sweeping breaking ball. Works quick and stays around the zone. In the outfield he shows proper technique with quick feet. Has short arm action with carry and the ability to one hop with accuracy. Behind the plate, he has a good set up with quick feet and transfer and consistently put baseballs on the bag. Has a wide stance at the plate with a toe turn trigger. Keeps his back elbow high and does a nice job getting extended. Has a pull side approach with solid bat speed. Ran a 7.69 sixty-yard dash. Named to the 2023 Northern California Showcase top player list.
