Jake Musgjerd is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends 276 Minnetonka HS. Medium young build. 7.91 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, moves to the ball well and works low behind it, has some side to side first step quickness, throws from a low arm slot and occasionally gets some tail and sink on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from an open start with a big lower half coil to load his swing, hands work well through the ball with good extension out front, longer swing approach with contact to mid field and the opposite field, showed good barrel accuracy, ability to turn on the ball will keep improving with additional strength. Also pitched, has a compact arm action and a similar lower slot to how he throws in the field, rotational delivery from a big side step start. Worked in the low 70's with his fastball with nice running action and threw strikes. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
