Landon Young is a 2024 SS/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from O'Fallon, MO, who attends Fort Zumwalt West. A medium frame and athletic body with strength present. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary infielder with a quicker arm and good strength across the diamond. Throws were at 87 mph to first base. Had a smooth backhand and a clean slow roller on display. Solid footwork and clean hands with direct actions to the baseball. A right-handed hitter with open feet and a leg lift that closes him up. Has high hands and a high back elbow with some whip to the barrel through the zone. Plenty of hand speed is present in his actions. Settled into his round of BP with some strength off the barrel and good impact. Rotational through contact, looking to lift and work pull-side. Produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Good student. Named to 2023 National Indoor (Saturday) Showcase TP List.
