Joe Larosa is a 2026 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Scotch Plains, NJ who attends Scotch Plains Fanwood. Larosa works from a broad shouldered build with evident strength proportioned throughout. As a primary OF, showcased decent attacking footwork and a deep fielding funnel with a compact release. Larosa consistently produced throws around the plate and worked downhill effectively, ultimately topping out at 82 mph. On the offensive end, the left handed hitter started from an wider, open base with a leg lift trigger and level bat path through the zone to generate line drive contact to all parts of the field. He flashed strength in the hands with intent to get the barrel extended, posting an exit velo of 83 mph. Ran a 5.21 forty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
