Corey Bennett Jr. is a 2024 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Millbrook. Compact, medium frame with dense strength and fast twitch to his actions. Can pick 'em up and put 'em down as he ran a 6.57 second 60 yard dash. Primary position OF, working methodically to the ball with proper angles. Clean transfer with glove out front into full inline arm path with throws up to 79 mph back to the infield. Reps on the IF as well, showing clean glove action and a feel for the clay. Some lateral range with his foot speed and arm plays here too. Secondary RHP, using the full windup with quick side step to belly high leg lift over the rubber. Hand break at the chest into full arm path as he accelerates through over the top arm angle. Turns good in the core working directly to the plate and operating fast. FB up to 72 mph with some cutting action and emerging CB in the low-60s. RHH starting even and using heel lift trigger to get going and hands out front with some barrel tilt pre-pitch. Bat path gets a bit inverted but when direct and on plane saw his best contact in the middle to the field. Tools across the board and is an excellent student too.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
