Logan Smith is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Tybee Island, GA who attends Benedictine Military. Solid, sturdy frame with present strength and some life to his action with a lot of time to grow. Primary position RHP, working from the 1B side of the rubber coming set inline with hands set at the belt. Lifts hands to the chest with quick leg lift to just below the letters and works down the slope well in his base. Very deep inline arm path that works into high 3/4 arm angle. Ball jumps out of hand pretty well and plays well when elevated throwing with intent. Plenty explosive in the core and projection is there. FB up to 75 mph with ride through the zone and occasional arm side run. Bigger CB with vertical shape that does come out above his hand a touch. Shows good bite and continues to eat in the zone. Distinguishable SL in the low-60s and tighter two-plane break. Keeps the ball around the zone with good pace. Secondary 1B feeling for the ball a bit, emerging overall glove action. Confident throwing up to 74 mph across the diamond. Will be solid here long term. Reps from the OF as well attacking the ball with some hop to his step. Throws up to 78 mph here. RHH working from an upright and slightly open stance with a good handset. Simple operation, just lifting leg and moving in to contact. Bat path is a bit steep and arm dominated. When the lower-half get integrated and he gets on plane, the bat speed jump and so will the ball. Young athlete with a lot to look forward to.
