Chase Beninger is a 2027 1B/RHP with a 6-1 250 lb. frame from Bremerton, WA who attends Olympic. Features a large/physical build with noticeable strength. Ran a 7.91 60-yd dash. At 1B, showed quality actions. Solid glovework, displaying feel to both sides with a clean out front reception. On his backhands, worked to a quick release especially on DPs where he lowered his slot on throws with accuracy. Arm strength overall was average but was accurate across the diamond as well. At the plate, sits in an open stance with higher set hands. Simple load and move into launch operating with minimal moving parts. Hands work quick and direct at barrel entry and levels out a bit into contact. Some inconsistent timing but produced several hard low LDs back through the middle of the field showing above avg. bat speed and impact for his level. Maintains balance throughout the swing. On the mound, showed a balanced and repeatable delivery. Side steps into a hip high knee tuck. Smaller drop in drliveleg and works on-line with a taller finish. More hand-lead arm path out the glove that works up to a normal 3/4 slot. Challenged hitters with his mid 70s, T76 fastball that had standard 4S shape. Mixed in a developing mid-60s SL and a depthy upper 60s CH he killed spin on.
