Xavier DeJesus is a 2028 C/OF with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from New Rochelle, NY who attends Salesian. Short and compact build with some present strength. 7.92 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a one knee down stance, stands a bit early but moves into his throws well and has a clean and quick exchange, gets on top of his throws well with some carry, tends to reach for the ball out front slowing down his release, has the tools to continue to develop defensively. Also worked out in the outfield, has some idea on his footwork and has a quick release on his throws, similar arm slot and arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a tall and still start with a simple stride into contact, has a short inside swing path with pull side to mid field contact, high contact line drive approach. Good student.
