Ryan Watson is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Greenbrier Christian Academy. Big and strong athletic build, broad shoulders with projection remaining. Right handed hitter, starts from a wide base with a big leg raise trigger, long and strong swing with plenty of bat speed, turns the barrel over well, was well timed and on the barrel, plenty of power to develop in the future. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, deliberate actions with good turns, arm strength his best defensive tools. Arm really played up in the outfield when he worked through the ball, made very accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, has a slide step delivery from the first base side of the rubber, loose arm swing to a 3/4's arm slot, pronates hard out front, repeats his delivery well and fills up the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with very good ride up and run down. Curveball was a very good pitch with sharp biting action and power. Has a chance on the mound with continued development. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
