Hayden McDonald is a 2022 C/UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Lake Stevens, WA who attends Lake Stevens. He has a good frame with an athletic build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.84 seconds. Primary catcher that has a low set up and covers ground well towards second. He has a clean transfer and a longer arm action. He could save time on his throw downs by releasing the ball quicker. He does a nice job of getting his lower half through on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base that is slightly open. He uses a leg lift trigger for timing. He swings on a direct path to the ball. He does a nice job of transferring his weight through the swing, utilizing his hips well. He has a pull approach and showed natural in his swing. Very good student.
