Owen Dye is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Alexander City, AL who attends Benjamin Russell. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 6.91 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, deliberate actions into the ball, still working on his footwork and glove positioning, arm works well and projects to improve with better momentum and footwork into his throws. Right handed hitter, starts from a straight stance with a well timed and well controlled swing, has present bat speed and plenty of pull side power, controls the barrel well and can impact the ball to all fields, good looking young hitter. Also pitched, throws from a full wind up with a closed landing out front and a lower slot crossfire release point, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball was in the mid-70's with good running life. Also threw a sweeping slider in the mid-60's and threw strikes with both pitches. Outstanding student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
