Luke Duffy is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Braden River. Works from a broader athletic frame with physical strength present. Primary first baseman, showcased fast turns with some glove/hand speed. Worked into a shorter arm stroke and delivered accurate throws. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond. From the outfield, worked through the baseball with clean footwork, delivered low and online throws. Recorded arm strength up to 86 mph. Right-handed pitcher, utilizes a compact delivery with a belt-high leg lift and medium stride prior to foot strike. Creates some extension out front and releases from a three-quarters slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, struggled to command it consistently. Mixed in a sharp late-breaking slider with spin up to 2500 rpm. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even base with low and tight hands. Utilizes a small hover trigger and a quick turn to the point of contact. Has some hand speed, produced line drives to the middle of the field when timed up. Recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 7.17 sixty-yard dash. Great student. Named to the 2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
