Jaxon Stapley is a 2026 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Perry. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, works through the ball well and gets his glove in good position fielding, throws from an over the top arm slot, arm looks more suitable for third base. Also worked out in the outfield, was aggressive to the ball and fielded it cleanly out front, threw from a similar over the top arm slot and made accurate one-hop throws. Left handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with a high back elbow load and his weight loaded back, uphill swing plane, looking to pull and lift the ball, had some hard top spin pull side line drives, can work on continuing to get stronger to use this approach. Also pitched and showed promising arm strength on the mound. Works from a semi-wind up with tall and fall mechanics and a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with some carry at the top of the zone, fastball got on hitters effectively. Still developing feel for a fading change up and softer curveball.
