Josh Wright is a 2026 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Fort Smith, AR who attends Southside. Primary 2B/3B with a medium sized frame with strength. Works to his backhand well and gets it out with pace all in one motion from a quick transfer and release. Showed a clean 2 hand gather and funnel to chest working up the middle and working around it well. Has lateral range and moves well athletically. Good hands that adjust well. Was up to 77 from across the diamond. Also played outfield and was up to 79 from there. Works through it with intent and gets it out well. Ran a 7.37 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot from a quick and loose arm. Works fast with tempo. Fastball worked up to 79 and liked to pound it inside. Fastball played firm. Curve with good spin traits was short with bite and healthy 10-4 shape. Could land it at times. Right-handed hitter with an upright narrow base and low elbow. Has good strength and could impact it when on it. Violent swing with some bat speed and does a nice job sinking the weight back. Good Student.
