Omar Bermudez Cruz is a 2028 SS/2B/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Home school. Medium young athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 6.80 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet and showed range in all directions, gains ground into the ball and has good rhythm and balance in his transitions, quick release on his throws with some carry, polished overall actions that project. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread straight stance with a short stride into contact, simple and short swing that is easy to time, high contact approach that will create lots of barrels until he gets strong enough to drive the ball. Very good student. Named to the PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO Top Prospect List.
