Andrew Lauer is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Regents School Of Austin. Posted a 7.23 in the 60 yard dash. Very projectable high-waisted build, uses the lengthy profile efficiently creating plane. Topped the fastball out at 79, loose high slot arm action will carry well with added sync in his operation. Arm path can be left behind at times, showed some feel to adjust. Breaking ball is loose with short movement. In the outfield the arm potential was intriguing, solid carry to to the end game. Playable actions, soft approach and gather with a slight uphill release. Right-handed hitter, fundamental swing with more the engage. Creates a simple shift into contact and slight down barrel path. More contact geared when he finds the barrel for now. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
