Dayne Franks is a 2028 OF/LHP with a 5-11 156 lb. frame from Orion, IL who attends Orion. Medium high waisted build with plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow and slightly open stance with a hanging leg lift trigger, short to the ball and long through it, gets nice separation and has lift in his swing, fluid swing with some bat speed and plenty of physical projection. 8.02 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic actions and takes direct routes to the ball, fields the ball cleanly out front, long and loose arm action from a lower slot . Also pitched, has a loose and easy arm action on the mound from a 3/4's arm slot, low effort mechanics, ball comes out of his hand easily, throws a bit cross body out front at release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph and gets on hitters quickly, still developing consistency for his slider release but flashed a solid pitch at 68 mph with some depth and decepton. Named to the 14U Midwest All-State Games Top Prospect List.
