Dayne Franks is a 2028 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Orion, IL who attends Orion. High-waisted athletic build with some present strength and plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves aggressively to the ball, fields it cleanly out front, longer and loose 3/4's arm action with good carry and accuracy on his throws. Also worked out at first base, showed very good footwork around the bag, athletic mover with good hands and a strong arm. Left handed hitter, starts in a straight stance with a hanging leg raise load, turns hard and creates bat speed, worked gap to gap with some back spin and carry, good swing and barrel accuracy with some strength behind it. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a long and loose arm action, mid 3/4's arm slot with some cross fire angle to the plate, will mix in hesitations to create deception. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with both some ride up and run down. Still developing feel for his slider.
