Jax Smith is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Hendersonville, TN who attends White House. Medium frame with emerging strength and a whole lot of time to add on. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.05 seconds. Primary LHP, using a rocking motion for his leg lift to the belt and works into a mid-3/4 arm angle to generate his hand speed. Gets excellent torque from his hip and shoulder separation but tends to land open and run away from arm at times. FB up to 77 mph with arm side run and lower sinker type spin rates. Displayed solid feel for bigger CB in the low-60's with mostly vertical shape. CH with tumbling action in the mid-60's is good offering to LHH's. Got better as outing progressed, mixing all pitches and disrupting hitters timing. Reps at 1B, with firm action to his glove work and a bit stiff as he worked through his plays. The arm played well here making accurate feeds up to 70 mph. LHH with an open and neutral stance and rotational approach mechanically leading to contact mostly to the pull side. Hand strength is present and ball jumps when on plane and on time. Needs to work on barrel consistency to put the power on display more frequently. Young athlete with good left handed tools across the board and more to come. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
