2025 PG Sunshine Midwest Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Seaton Thompson is a 2026 SS/2B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Ladue Horton Watkins. A lengthy and lean frame with good athleticism throughout the build. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop/middle-infielder who worked out at the position with clean actions and plenty of athletic traits. He had soft hands with some good snatch to it. He has a clue for the footwork with a clean slot working across the field from a three-quarters arm slot. He adjusted slots well -- as needed. He moves well with firm throws across and can record outs. The throws were at 85 mph, carrying to the chest across the diamond at first base. He had some range to both sides and put together a good round of defensive work. A switch-hitter. As a right-handed hitter, he sets up with high hands, a high back elbow, and a spread base. He had an athletic and balanced stance in the box with pre-loaded hands. He showed a hands-driven stroke from the left side, throwing the barrel head well. It was a simple stroke with some strength in the hands, staying shorter to it and working slightly uphill. Mostly worked to the middle of the field. As a left-handed hitter, he had the same setup, just showing more of a leg lift, working inward. He showed good strength off the barrel, with a deeper load and more length through the zone as a lefty. Finished the round strong and drove one real well into right field, banging it off the wall. Produced a 91 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Excellent student. Named to 2025 Sunshine Midwest Showcase TP List. Mizzou commit.
