Cruz Cunill is a 2026 C/RHP/SS with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Altamont. Medium athletic build with square shoulders and good present strength. 6.89 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense who is also athletic enough to play in the middle infield. Has quick feet and aggressive hips behind the plate, receives the ball cleanly out front, lower arm slot throwing with some carry, gets low in his crouch. Has first step quickness in the infield, rounds the ball well, same lower arm slot, fields the ball cleanly. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand load, has quick hands and gets the barrel out front with some bat speed, can get into his lower half more to help drive his swing, has strength and some jump off the barrel, projects well as a hitter. Good student. Named to the WWBA Summer Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
