Fallis is a 6-2, 170 lb catcher from Georgia with a very projectable frame for a young catcher. He ran 7.83 in the 60 and showed very good arm strength at 78 mph with a best pop time of 1.95. Fallis had a quick release in game situations and moved well behind the plate. Offensively, Fallis has a good set up and load and does a good job of hitting through the ball. He hit the ball solidly in game action but didn’t have anything to show for it. When Fallis adds some strength he could really develop quickly as a hitter with the skills he already has in place. Fallis also threw 3 effective innings, showing a smooth arm action and above average ability to throw strikes. His fastball was 76-78 mph and he had a tight, sharp 68 mph curveball and a nice 71 mph change up. He could keep improving as a pitcher. Interesting prospect overall! Also an excellent student.
