Travis Bravo is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 5'10'', 172 lb. frame from Cameron Park CA, who attends Ponderosa HS. He has a medium frame with some developing strength. Bravo throws from an on line delivery with a long, extended arm action in back and a high 3/4's release. He tends to drift out to his front side while his arm is circling in back, then throw over a stiff front leg, which makes his mechanics and release point inconsistent. Bravo's fastball was consistently 77-79 mph some arm side run. His breaking ball varied in speed and shape from a bigger 11/5 break to a shorter 12/6 type of break and was up to 70 mph. He also mixed in a few change ups. Bravo's stuff could take a step forward quickly with some mechanical adjustments to his delivery. Bravo plays some outfield when not pitching and had some game bat speed. He hits from an open stance and has a pronounced arm bar, which causes his bat head to drag a bit. Bravo is also a good student.
