Ezra Essex is a 2025 OF/2B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends P27 Academy. Smaller athletic build with some compact present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium base, loads his hands on his back hip, aggressive pull oriented swing, has very fast hands, turns the barrel over hard, impact to the pull side, lived on the barrel during the games including a 97 EV/351 home run into the left field bullpen. 6.39 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, is aggressive through the ball and fields it cleanly, speed will be a big asset on his range, makes accurate throws. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Oklahoma State.
