Julian Salazar is a 2028 SS/2B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Features a medium sized build with some strength. Ran a 7.81 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed quality actions with feel for how to move. Plays low to the ground with avg. foot quickness/range. Soft hands display early and work to a soft/sure reception. Nice charge as well flashing the athleticism. Longer arm stroke that got off accurate throws across with quality strength for his level. At the plate, worked from a spread stance and used a small stride. Flashes of some above avg. bat speed for his level where he works the barrel on a direct path that levels out out-front. Gets off his backside well while staying behind it. Creates good leverage with his lower-half. Some inconsistent timing but when he found his rhythm he impacted it hard through the middle of the field. On the mound, side steps into a id-chest knee tuck. Creates a smaller sit in his lower half as he uses a longer AA out the back and works to a higher 3/4 slot. Lands on-line and creates avg. length. Normal 4S shape to his low 80s, T82 heater that produced some in-zone whiff with but also leaker off both to the glove side and arm side with several misses. Mixed in a low 70s breaker with 10-4 shape with limited power but quality depth. Developing strikes/command.
