Jose Gonzalez is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Corozal, PR who attends Jose Padin. Recorded a 6.76 second 60-yard dash time. Long, lean build with lots of room to add strength to the frame. Primary shortstop who waits back on the ball and has soft hands. Full gather with a longer arm stroke and very good arm strength recorded up to 90 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a side step into a leg lift above the belt. Hip coil at the top and gets good explosion down the hill. Quick arm and gets the fastball to both halves of the plate. Clean delivery with a higher slot and shows good horizontal action on the slider. Right-handed hitter with an even and slightly closed stance. Short swing and hands work well. Can turn the barrel over to the pull side. Great student. Named to the SS East TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
