Lucas Kamerzell is a 2028 RHP/OF with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley. Big and physical build with good present strength and more to come. Works from a side step delivery with a belt high leg raise and good lower half drive down the mound, clean arm action to a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and topped out at 88 mph. Solid his change up very well and killed the spin with late dropping action, created plenty of swing/miss with his change up. Threw both a 11/5 curveball with good power and a short cutter-like slider with some late horizontal depth. Showed command of four solid pitches. 5.10 runner in the forty. Secondary outfielder on defense, was aggressive to the ball with good fundamental footwork, lower arm slot with some carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced straight stance with good loose rhythm in his hands, has strength and bat speed in his swing, works behind the ball well with leverage at contact, can release the barrel most consistently out front but has hitting tools to continue to develop. Excellent student. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
