Jairen Horton is a 2025 UT/RHP, C, 2B, 3B, SS, MIF, IF, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Morgan Park. He has a good frame with a lean build and plenty of room to add strength. Primary utility player that worked out on the infield and the outfield. On the infield he showed a quick first step and nice range to both sides of his body. He works through the ball well and has smooth transfers before firing across the diamond. In the outfield he moves to the ball well and made clean transfers, allowing him to transfer the ball quickly into his throwing hand. He has a clean arm action and made accurate throws to the base. Secondary pitcher that utilizes. knee to chest leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He fires with a medium arm action and delivers from a 3/4 slot. He moves his fastball around the zone and pairs it with a 12/6 curveball with short break. He also features a changeup that has fading action through the zone. Right-handed hitter that starts in a narrow stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a small stride forward for timing and is rotational with his lower half. He has a line drive approach and uses the whole field. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
