Ian Colon is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Gateway. Lean and athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.43 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder in defense, works through the ball well with good fundamental footwork, fielded the ball cleanly to the side, small crow hop into his throws, long and loose arm action, made accurate throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a simple and short move into contact, tight hand load with a short swing, will cut across the ball at times and get too inside, flashes some bat speed when he gets the barrel out front. Took a turn on the mound, works from a side step delivery with a chest high knee raise, medium length 3/4's arm slot, lands a bit open out front but repeated his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph and was mostly straight. Curveball and change up were solid pitches that he showed some feel for, curveball had some downer depth and the change up some fading life. Good student.
