Cody Matson is a 2022 3B/1B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Redmond, WA who attends Eastlake. He has a large frame with a strong build. Primary third baseman that showed good movements to both sides of his body. He has good anticipation, consistently being the right position to field the ball. He throws with a short arm action and has some stiffness in his shoulders. He shows good body control and the ability to throw on the run. Right handed hitter that starts with a narrow, open base in an upright stance. He uses a simple stride and fires his hips well. He has a longer swing with strong hands. He has a pull side approach and looks to do damage to pitches on the inner half. Was on time and able to get extended in game action, sending a long homerun to left center field. Good student. Named to the Northwest Prospect Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
