Andrew Caracio is a 2027 LHP/1B with a 6-2 218 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Pro5 Baseball Academy. Big bodied physical build. Rocker step delivery into a leg lift to the belt, gets into his big lower half well getting down the mound, compact over the top arm stroke. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, tries to work downhill to the bottom of the zone. Breaking ball is a 12/6 curveball with some occasional downer depth. Did not observe a change up this outing. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, moves well and makes accurate throws, lower arm slot than on the mound. Left handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a pull side approach, works downhill through the ball from a high hand load, flashes some strength with more there if he gets on plane sooner. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
