Joseph Schilp is a 2027 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Bloomfield Hills, MI who attends Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep. Recorded a 7.30 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with athleticism in a thick build. Primary shortstop with choppy steps and moved well. High effort and showed some feel to change arm slots. Right-handed hitter starts from a medium in-line stance with a low back elbow and a low hand set, utilizes a bigger leg lift. Direct path to the ball with solid feel for the barrel. Quicker hands and creates separation with a shorter swing. Creates some leverage in the lower half and was able to keep the hands tight to the body with solid line drives to the pull-side and middle-of-the-field. Exciting player with good upside. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
