Oliver Merced is a 2023 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Weston, CT who attends Weston High School. Medium to Large frame with a physical build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.40 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, good first step instincts as he worked well laterally. Clean gather out front before working into transfer. Accurate around the bag when he has his feet underneath him. Threw it 76 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch. Higher leg lift and the drives down the hill staying direct to dish. Stays high with the upper half as he goes right after hitters. Fastball up to 77 mph and mixed in a sharp breaking ball with 11-to-5 break. Left-Handed Hitter, starting slightly open with weight on the back leg. Small lift to stride as he does a good job creating separation. Loft to the swing as he looked to drive it to the pull-side for power. Juice in the swing when he times it up properly. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
