Charlie Keel is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westlake. Medium, lean frame with time to continue adding strength in the coming years. Left-handed hitter, high hands and high back elbow with an even base, barrel gets in the slot early and works through the zone with a flatter path. Rotational lower half, got the barrel extended and worked exclusively to the pull-side. Developing barrel feel and bat speed. Primary left-handed pitcher, controlled tempo on the mound, belt high leg lift to balance, inline arm path with developing arm speed. Two pitch mix with feel for the zone with both. Fastball got up to 63 mph and challenged in zone, landed the curveball at will, up to 59 mph (1739 RPM). Ran a 8.25 60-yard dash. Also worked out in the outfield, waits back on the baseball, one hand funnel on the side of the frame, high release point with similar arm strength we saw on the mound, recorded throws up to 63 mph with accuracy around the bag.
