Cooper Salter is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Archbishop Mitty. Medium frame, wider build, and some thickness in the frame. 8.38 60-yd. Worked out at every position including as a pitcher and showed skills that can improve over time. Catching skills stood out most with good footwork to the bag trusting his exchange and quick release having accurate throws. In the infield, the hips got wide and low with lateral range and the ability to control the body. Played well with the arm making accurate throws from different angles. In the outfield, the first step effort allowed him to control his feet through the baseball working on time and through the ball. Utilized a balanced stance and small foot lift timed up with the hands working back. The weight rocked backward early with loose actions in the swing. The round improved during it and was able to show easy effort in the swing that should improve as he matures. While pitching worked from the stretch only with an average front knee lift and hands having a slow lift and break. Long hand break led to long 3/4 arm and ability to rotate over to the first-base side on a shorter stride. Fastball used on both side with sinker actions. Curveball spins well able to create a drop in the short 11/5 shape.
