2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Giovanni Buccino is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-5 260 lb. frame from Clemmons, NC who attends West Forsyth. Extra big and strong build, really stands out physically. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a big leg lift trigger, swings hard and tends to over swing, uphill swing plane that creates top spin, best impact to right center field, can create big impact but key to development will be simplifying his swing approach and creating consistency/repeatability. 8.05 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well for his size and shows his athleticism, loose arm from a high arm slot, makes accurate throws with some carry. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
