Tommy Schoeck is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Grosse Pointe Shores, MI who attends University Liggett. Features a bigger build with some strength present. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showed the ability to field the ball out front. Caught it clean when the glove got down on time. Eliminating the glove tap during approach could help glove timing consistency. Produce strong, accurate throws through the workout. Threw 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a slightly open base. Shifts weight well onto the backside. Approach stays through the middle of the field. Creates good torque within the swing. Helps produce some loud contact. Adding more loft to the bat path would allow for torque and strength to generate more power that plays in-game. Also threw on the mound. Righthanded pitcher. Utilizes a high leg kick into a medium stride down the mound. Stays on-line well despite high effort used through the delivery. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot. The fastball sat 73-76 mph on a slight downhill plane. Showed the ability to throw it for strikes fairly often. Displayed good feel for an upper-60’s curveball with 11-5 action. Has the ability to land it for strikes consistently. The ability to mix both pitches well kept hitters off balance. Very good student.
