Caleb Tesfaye is a 2028 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Collegeville, PA who attends Devon Prep. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.20 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, deliberate tempo coming off of the bag, fields it out front and shows a clean funnel into body for release, turns well with footwork, makes the plays and shows accuracy on throws to the intended base. Strong arm from the outfield on throws, creates some separation in release, lower slot on throws, gets under the ball at times out of the hand. Also pitched, does a nice job of using length to create extension coming down the mound, works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, lots of running life to the arm side and takes off through the zone. Curveball is sharp with tight spin and shows horizontal bite at times up to 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a closed and upright stance and utilizes a subtle toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Rotational swing, employs a middle of the field approach and executes well; consistent linear path through the zone with line drive carry to the gaps.
