2023 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Michael Mifsud is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Syosset, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Medium frame with square shoulders and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.68 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a still developing defensive skill set. Displayed deliberate footwork into the fielding process. Fields off his front foot properly, gathers quickly and maintains some momentum into a crow-hop. Produced fairly accurate throws up to 77 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a high leg lift into balance and linear movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 73 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone with developing secondary offerings. Mixed in low spin changeup with replicated arm speed and 12-6 shaped curveball that showed gradual depth. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even stance with a flat hand start, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Intent based swing with rotational lower half mechanics and developing feel for the barrel. Mostly pullside contact with some strength at impact when on-time, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physical maturity. Good Student.
