Thatcher Baughman is a 2024 3B/MIF, UT with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Columbia, SC who attends Ben Lippen. Long and thin frame with some wiry strength present in the profile, has a chance to continue to fill out and really get stronger. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary 3B/MIF, has solid corner footwork here, gets behind the backhand nicely with quick release and solid internal clock, dropped the slot with online throws, looked athletic moving around the spot and thus produced a solid round. Right-handed hitter, high hands and back elbow set, rocks into the load, even and slightly open base with a quick trigger out front, hands load back that have a tendency to create some unwanted barrel wrap, big stride out, high effort and intent swing, working to pull it, got under some during this round, showed some solid impact as evident by the exit velocity when on time and barreled up. Solid framed athlete with a chance to get stronger and improve with additional lean strength all around. Outstanding student with a 4.95 GPA.
