Derek Conjardi is a 2026 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Schaumburg, IL, who attends Hoffman Estates. A taller frame with length throughout and a lean build. Room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked from the stretch, closing up as he comes set. He worked from a longer arm slot with some looseness to the arm through release. He created some whip though, accelerating through release. The fastball worked into the mid-70s, working to establish the zone working east/west with the heater. He showed feel for a breaking ball in the upper-60s with spin up above the 2,100 RPM mark. The pitch had more of an 11/5 & 10/4 shape, giving it that slurvy look during the outing. A left-handed hitter who has an even base with an open stance, staying relaxed in the batters' box. He showed lower hands and a lower back elbow during his round of BP swings, using a toe tap trigger to stay on time. He was able to engage the hips well. He gets the hands to the ball, working through the zone with some quickness. He mostly worked the middle-to-opposite field approach during his round of BP swings. He also worked out as an outfielder with a broader base as he approached, fielding it with two hands. He had energy on the build-up with a quick and compact release. He showed some arm strength, throwing 82 mph during his round. He shuffles into the throw with aggression through release. Also worked out as an infielder, showing a shorter and quick release on this throws across. Threw 77 mph across the diamond. He was accurate around the bag at first and had intent to his angles working to the ball. Good student.
