Payton Del Toro is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends St. Augustine. Features a medium build with some strength present. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman. Showcases a clean setup with sound glove actions. Works through hops well into a clean transfer. Still develop footwork fluidity. Was accurate with most double play feeds. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even stance with a narrow base. Will drift and get stiff into contact at times. Swings on a slight downhill path. Finishing the swing more consistently would allow for more consistent quality contact. On the mound, works exclusively from the stretch and shows an aggressive up-tempo operation. Uses a mid-chest knee tuck that gets him engaged with his backside. Smaller drop in drive leg with a slight early push but that builds good pace/energy. Lands slightly closed with a normal length stride and decent block. Shows a longer stab with arm out the back that works with decent armspeed up to a normal 3/4 slot. FB displayed normal 4S shape at 79-82 that produced several late swings. Mixed in an effective CB with 11-5 shape in the upper 60s that flashed sharp/late finish. Mixed in a few CHs as well that had some quality fading action. Excellent student.
