Ryder Derouin is a 2022 C/RHP, SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Mukwonago, WI who attends Wisconsin Lutheran. He has a tall frame with a lanky build and plenty of room to add strength. Primary catcher that starts in a low stance that is slightly open. He does a nice job of gaining ground towards second with quick, short steps. He has a compact throwing motion and does a nice job of keeping this throws low and on target. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a knee to chest leg kick and uses dip and drive back leg mechanics. He does a nice job of working down the mound and staying in line with the plate. He has a whippy arm and throws from a low 3/4 slot. The arm slot helps him to generate tons of run on his fastball that he showed good control of. His slider has sharp horizontal movement when he throws it in the zone. His curveball has nice two plane break. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a big leg lift trigger for timing. He made his best contact when he was on time and impacted it out in front of the plate. Good student.
