Batting Practice Highlights - Showcase
Andrew Belott (2026, Milwaukee, Wisc.) handled the barrel really well during BP. He was able to stay short and compact, with good strength off of it and feel to impact it, with extension. He used the whole field and was able to put together a really good round of BP swings.
Charlie Fitzke (2026, Milton, Wisc.) was able to drive the ball well during BP, with easy turns working through contact, impacting well, and driving it well gap-to-gap. The left-hander was able to work on the barrel often for a really loud round of BP swings, consistently squaring it up with jump off it.
Nathan Hinek (2026, New Berlin, Wisc.) swung it well during BP with an aggressive move to contact. He was able to impact it well and drive the ball well back up the middle with some really good swings. The right-hander showed a feel to lift and launch the ball throughout the round and produced plenty of hard-hit line drives.
Ben Horn (2027, Muskego, Wisc.) turns hard with loud impacts, being able to get extended working through it and create a good jump off the barrel. He had a loose stroke with plenty of bat speed on display that made for a really nice round of BP swings.
Joe Meeter (2026, Holmen, Wisc.) put together a quality round of swings from the right side with a feel to work back up the middle, spreading out hard-hit line drives between the gaps. He had a low-tension operation with good impacts and plenty of whip to the barrel.
Jack Spielmann (2027, Milton, Wisc.) had some aggressive swings during BP, working hard through contact with jump off of the barrel and whip to the operation. He had bat speed that allowed him to turn hard and hit balls hard, working pull-side and back up the middle throughout his round of swings.
Chace Staude (2027, Pewaukee, Wisc.) is another left-hander who swung it well during BP, finding ways to rotate hard through contact and create loud impacts. He was able to lift the ball and drive it working gap-to-gap, launching a couple of balls pull-side near the end of the round. Plenty of feel to be on plane and do damage.
Mason Beaver (2026, Elkhorn, Wisc.) displayed a clear-cut pull-side approach during BP, executing nearly every swing. He had arguably the loudest round of BP swings on the day, peppering balls to left field with hard turns and an innate feel to deliver the barrel on time and out front.
Keyvert Gonzalez (2027, Chicago, Ill.) creates tension in the swing well, uncoiling hard through it with a feel to whip the hands through contact and drive it all over the field. Had some really nice swings working back up the middle of the field, with good strength off the barrel.
Matthew O’Grady (2026, Williams Bay, Wisc.) stayed balanced throughout his round with a simple and minimalistic move. He stayed through contact well, staying connected and in-sync. It allowed him to do damage and drive the ball to all parts of the field with some loud swings working back up the middle and to the pull-side part of the yard.
Samuel Patterson (2028, Sauk City, Wisc.) swung it well from the left side with an aggressive move through contact. He was able to whip the hands through the zone with a direct stroke and feel to work the backside gap and drive the ball. Showed some feel to lift toward the end of the round as well.
Austin Johnson (2028, Port Washington, Wisc.) had great bat-to-ball skills on display during his round of swings, showing a loose stroke with a feel to drive the ball to all fields. He holds angles well and was able to show very projectable actions in the batters’ box during his round of BP swings.
Tyson Grulkowski (2026, Muskego, Wisc.) had a ton of hand speed and strength in the frame that allowed him to show off the sheer strength working pull-side. He hammered balls back up the middle and pull-side with a ton of lift and strength off of it. Quality round of swings.
