Jack Bauer is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Frankfort, IL who attends Lincoln Way East. Long and lean athletic build. High energy multi-part delivery with lots of arms and legs to create deception, throws from a low 3/4's arm slot with a fast and loose arm, very athletic delivery that he repeated surprisingly well. Fastball sat in the low 90's and topped out at 95 mph, creates huge running life up to 19" on the fastball, gets lots of bad swings on the fastball with the velocity, life and deception. Sweeping curveball has over 3000 rpm at times with big depth near 20", tough pitch to command and repeat but does it well. Huge movement difference in opposite directions between curveball and fastball. Threw both a straight change up and a short gyro cutter/change up. Very difficult at-bat for a hitter if he is throwing strikes. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia. Selected for the 2024 PG All-American Classic.
