Cole Clower is a 2028 RHP/SS with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Channahon, IL who attends Providence Catholic. A bigger and more athletic frame with good strength throughout. Shows some present physicality with room to keep filling out & projection remaining. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. A primary right-handed pitcher who had a smooth delivery working from the wind-up. He had a higher leg lift up to the chest with some push and drive down the slope, working from the first base side of the rubber. He stayed in-line with the plate all the way through and was able to work from a three-quarters slot with a medium arm action. He had a loose shoulder and smooth release that allowed him to repeat actions well. His fastball worked 82-84 mph and spun just a tick below 2,300 RPMs. The pitch had good life through the zone and was able to command the zone. He showed a harder changeup up to 79 mph with good depth to it, showing some run & sink. He also showed a curveball that spun above 2,100 RPMs with sharp 11-5 shaped break to it. He was able to miss bats with the breaker and put together a really loud outing on the mound. Took BP as a left-handed hitter with an upright and slightly open feet. He had higher set hands and the back elbow up, showing quick turns and good actions in the box. He had plenty of bat speed and hand speed to impact with some loud swings. He turns through it well with good extension, allowing him to rotate hard & impact with good thump off the barrel. He had good extension and was able to put together a really good round of swings. He hit several balls deep to the pull-side gap that likely would have left the yard or been deep in the gap on an outdoor field. He impacted well and was quick to launch. Produced an 86 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. He worked out on the infield, throwing 81 mph across the diamond. He moved quickly with feel for the footwork and an ability to adjust slots, working from a lower release across for the most part. He was accurate around the bag and showed some whip to the arm with feel for the approach and gather, funneling well into throws. Loose arm with good whip and feel for the spot that projects well. Tons of projection remaining on both sides of the ball. Good student. Named to 2025 Chicago Indoor Showcase TP List.
