Ricky Bowen is a 2005 RHP/ with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Jasper, AL who attends. Thin athletic build, loose strength in lower half. Throws downhill, works down and away from right handers. Quick arm, low effort delivery. Sharp slider showed good depth and hard break, solid feel for it, kept it down. Fastball has cutting action, mixed in changeup when necessary, knows how to pitch. Will need to develop changeup further to be effective as a SP, otherwise can be very effective in relief working with mid 90s fastball and hard slider. Quality free agent arm.
