2024 Coastal High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Brody Hines is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Clayton, NC who attends Corinth Holders. Medium frame with lean, wiry strength and solid athleticism, especially behind the dish. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.29 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a one knee down stance and getting into transition efficiently. Solid midline transfer to throw where he uses appropriately short arm action delivering accurate feeds. Best reps showed velocity up to 72 mph on a pop-time best 2.06 seconds on the bag. RHH working from a wider stance and very quiet almost stationary pre-pitch load. Good handset at the shoulders with quite a bit of bat wrap at the top but does take a direct path to impact. Middle of the field contact when on time and at his best, with some jump off the barrel. Nice projection as an offensive catcher in the immediate future. Very good student as well.
